Microsoft Ignite Summary
This past week was the first Microsoft Ignite conference in Chicago, IL. As a prior attendee of Microsoft’s BUILD conference each year, this was quite a change for me. There was a healthy mix of IT Pro, SysAdmin and Dev sessions, over 200 sessions in total for the week. I downloaded and installed the Windows 10 Technology Preview today because I was interested in seeing how it would behave on my Surface Pro. I started out creating a VMWare VM with the following hardware settings:
Windows 8.1 Update 1
Today at Build 2014 Microsoft announced the availability of Windows 8.1 Update 1 on April 8th to the general public, but it’s available now to MSDN subscribers. Not wanting to waste any of the precious resources made available us MSDN folks, I promptly downloaded the bits and put them on my Surface Pro.
