Back on the horse
Today was the first excellent Solunar day since Princey’s passing, so in honor of him I decided to try going for the catfish I like to call “General Sherman”.
Today was the first excellent Solunar day since Princey’s passing, so in honor of him I decided to try going for the catfish I like to call “General Sherman”.
For years now my fuzzy little fishing buddy and I would go on weekly trips to the lake or pond and “catch the feesh” as I would tell him, and he would get all excited, dance around and start whimpering. He loved going fishing, even if it just meant dangling there from my chest harness and sleep while I caught the fish. He just loved to be there.
It’s been a hot and rainy summer, and with my fuzzy little fishing buddy’s health slowly getting worse my opportunities to go fishing in the mornings are limited.
The overnight temperature is finally warm enough for me to go fishing in the morning, so my fuzzy little fishing buddy and I started this year’s regular trips with a trek to Evelyn Hallman.
We got to Evelyn Hallman Pond and had the first line in the water around 11:30am. We ended up with four lines in the water, one with Little Smokies, one with raw shrimp and two with corn. As I cast the last line with corn and was placing it in the rod holder I felt the hard tug.
