The Solunar data table said today and tomorrow would be excellent days, so my fuzzy little fishing buddy and I decided to try it out. We were not disappointed!
Starting with #4 octopus hooks and raw shrimp, we had the first fish in less than 30 minutes. Then every 8 minutes afterwards it was one after another! 7 catfish in just over an hour! The first was just a baby, still pale gray, very small. The next was much better, 20″ and 2.5lb. After another baby it was 4 more adults, two of them were the biggest of the day for me.
This one was 20″ and 2.8lb

A video of all 7 fish is available here (note the first few were caught before sunrise…I really need to start bringing a head lamp.
